The Philosophy of Time Travel

There's no place where I end or you end or the air begins. These bed frames and headboards are only headspaced away from the floor. It's enough to convince me that I am not myself. Cigarettes and Wolfspiders bones leaving shadows. Everything that's living dies alone, leaving shadows, heavy shadows. There's no place for your sentiment about the way life should happen. Only one we've lost everything are we free to do anything.

I started this picture about a year ago. Then last week I erased the entire thing, took a pose/lighting reference picture, and started it all over again after a sudden and strange moment of inspiration.
I needed to prove to myself I could still paint.

Theset are an amazing band from Victoria that write songs about things like Donnie Darko and Salad Fingers and you should definately go investigate [link] . This is pretty much my favourite song by them. I'll hopefully use this picture to lure them back to Kelowna so I can give it to them.

Hopefully I can get a better scan of this up eventually.
